Perhaps you have already visited all the major Greek islands. Even though, there are still a lot of interesting things in the cradle of civilization, you just need to find and we know where to look! A kayak tour will show you the country from an unexpected, non-touristic side.
Kayaking routes bypass the main tourist locations. We are interested in the emerald sea, the purest wild beaches, eucalyptus and olive groves, and not crowds of tourists, isn't that right?
Experienced instructors act as guides to the world of luxurious nature and the rich culture of Greece. They know many legends and interesting stories about local sights and willingly share them with kayakers.
Trip program (11 Days)
Day 1 9/06/2023
18:10 departure from Toronto
Day 2
Meeting at the airport.
Excursion tour of Athens
Dinner.
Transfer to hotel, accommodation
Free time.
Day 3
Breakfast.
9:00 We go to Lefkada to the campsite, accommodation in tents, distribution of equipment, preparation for the route, dinner.
Day 4
(14km) We go out to sea. We walk along the shores of Meganisi Island, inspect its rugged landscape, bays, towns, piers. If desired, you can stop and have a bite to eat in a coastal tavern.
If the weather permits, we reach Kalomos and spend the night there. Or we spend the night on the island of Meganisi, in its eastern part.
Day 5
(18km) If we spent the night on Meganisi, we go out to sea early, make the crossing of the open water area about 9km, to the island of Kalamos. We go around it from the east and stop at the parking lot, on a beautiful pebble beach, 1.5 km from the town of Kalamos.
Day 6
Beach. For those who wish, a walk in the mountains and a visit to a tavern are available.
Day 7
(17km) We go out to sea and inspect the neighboring island of Kastos from the southeast side. Along the way, you will come across the caves that you can swim in a kayak. Rest and snack in the town of Kastos, for those who wish to visit the tavern. In the evening we return to Kalamos Island, to another camp in its southwestern part.
Day 8
(22km) We get up early. Crossing by open sea (6 km) to the island of Meganisi, we go along its western cliffs, which abound with water caves. We move slowly, because we swim to explore the caves. We spend the night in our campsite on Lefkada island.
Day 9
Free beach day.
Day 10
11:00 Departure to Athens.
Accommodation at the hotel.
Free time.
Optional gala dinner.
Day 11
Breakfast
9:20 transfer to the airport.
